Red or Yellow (malaysia)

last nite was such a experience for me. i went to watch Singapore vs Malaysia at Jalan Besar stadium for the very first time in my life, together with some friends.haha. By the time we reached the entrance, we saw quite a long queue, but we had to queue up to get tickets. It was almost match time already when we were 3rd or 4th in line, so we kinda missed the kick off. we climbed to the 3rd floor where we saw quite a crowd, probably because malaysians came all the way across the causeway to support their team. but somehow during the match, most of the crowd around us shouted whenever a Malaysian player fouled a Singaporean player, so i guess there were more Singaporeans in the stand. =P anyway Singapore was hosting the game, so more supporters. This made me wonder... how come S League matches are so quiet and pathetic while whenever there is a Singapore and Malaysia game, there is such a crowd. haha, i think there is still some rivalry between this 2 teams, though it has subsided a bit. I know during the 60s, singapura fans were very in to this games."GOAL!!" almost 3/4 of the stadium shouted when Singapore scored first. to tell u the truth, we all supported Malaysia!! lol! cuz we all knew Malaysia were the better team after reading the long history between them. the 1st half was exciting, ah pehs shouting at the refree as usual (local trademark)
"Kayu la ref!"
"Refree kelong ah!"
"Red card red card!" (though it was juz a small foul)
haha. =)
2nd half was interesting, it was the come back of Malaysia. hehe. they equalised around the 70th min and..... scored the winner at the 88th min! phew.. we all joined in the Malaysia fans. lol. so the final score, 2-1 ...somehow, i felt this sense of betrayal. i have to admit Singapore were the better side in this game but they didnt take their chances. so many! there was one open goal, and one joker had the chua's syndrom and shot over the bar.lol. well, i guess tats the problem of our soccer. we can attack, but cannot score.. thats why the dream of going to the World Cup in 2010 will never happen unless u train on ur shooting! and another problem is that our team has no real focus. they played so well so get the lead and they blew it away just lyk that. so i really pity them. well, football is either lose or win, so u have to learn frm it. yea.
i really hope i can watch more of this games cuz u will feel diff rather than the boring S League matches. it is a little taste of EPL..
