hey guys, havent been blogging for a long while. So since this week is a break, i've decided to brush off the dust from my blog and write some stuff. :DSchool's been really fun, its been about 8 weeks already since i started my arty-farty quest at Lasalle SIA College of the Arts. I recalled it was like entering sec 1 or maybe pri 1 if i could remember what it felt like, yes that same old feeling that will haunt one when you enter into a new school, just that THIS TIME mummy is not around. heheh!
So glad we are moving to a totally new school next year, the current one we have is so run down. I must say i feel so honored to be the last batch to use the old school and the first batch to use the new school. :) its gonna be at Rocher Road for your info.
Well like i said, school's been really interesting. I've learned to form 3D structures and use different mediums. I never had outdoor lessons in pri/sec school, except those excursions to Little India etc. THIS time i get to go to the outdoors to do my external drawing, which the main focus is to help us improve on our proportions and be observant to the surroundings, well thats suppose to be important for a artist/designer. It is also to get a taste of people looking at your drawings and getting use to nosey unties or uncles. haha. so far we've been to the Esplanade and Youth Park to doodle.
Fun fun fun, yea what more can u ask for when you are doing something that is of great interest to you. Thank God once again! :) with fun comes along fun friends. haha yeah, i've a interesting/weird-at-times/laughing-none-stop/funny class to bring me through the day, especially those days where we have to stay till 6pm/7pm for our classes. :D My first impression on my class was that they were boring cause no one talked during our first meeting where we had to design a postcard. haha, well i was wrong.. they have been of great company for this 8 weeks.
Anyway yesterday we had to break up to our area of interest, so yea we had to spilt temporary. Out of the 24 we have in my class, only 4 of us are going to interior design. The rest are all fashion and communication design ppl (which probably explains their expressive behaviour) yes, so i've been fed with 8 weeks worth of fashion news and stuff. :) The reason why we had to split -> to get to know our seniors and future classmates. so yesterday the interior people had to envelope the staircases at the design block, using raffia string. sounds cool huh, but it was EXHAUSTING! it was 6 hrs of tieing raffia strings. haha, i took some pictures cause it was so nice. However, i started to realise we were like birds in a cage.
Yes so now you roughly know what i do in school. This week is also to finish up my project leftovers. I shall also look for something exciting to do and make use of the empty spaces in shopping centres or theatres when everyone is working or schooling. muaha! ciao
