back from youth camp, i'm thankful i survived it, with the sorethroat, cough coming at me. In addition, i still have not fully recovered from the mission trip. haha, guess we all are anyway. Suddenly, i feel sleeply easily and i go to bed earlier than usual, guess my body is telling me that i need to rest more.The year is ending and i'll miss this year. :) Looking back at the year, i think i've trully been blessed in many ways, even in the trials i'd faced. This year, i feel that i've grown more as a Christian and as a person. The highlights of my year would be going to Lasalle, where i've met a bunch of funny, different-in-a-good way, arty-farty friends. :) Some of course have become a reputation of telling really good jokes or becoming a joke themself. hahaha (body back)(miami vice to miak mee rice) man...
Another hightlight would be the mission trip to Phillipines :)) The experience can't be fully expressed in words, for they say a picture paints a thousand words and its true. i think the things i've learned from the trip is to...
1. Love God more (i love Him lots already, so now its even more~)
2. Surrender everything to Him
3. Appreciate what we have here in Singapore, seriously, we have MANY MANY things here, and we fail to see that all that we have is luxury already. :)) BELIEVE me.
4.That dirt does not kill, its the thought of it that kills u instead. Singapore is wayyy too clean, so be THANKFUL!
5.Be thankful for life,God's love, mercy and grace for us. w/o Him life has no purpose. Just think of it, the money u make in life, the successes you acheive, can you take them with you when you die? with God, there's life after death, and it thrills me to think of Heaven :) Recently, i told my mom that i'm missing HOME :)
All of us are thankful for different things, I think after thanking the people or God for what they have done, we should also look forward to 2007 and allocate time for them. Since God has blessed me with a lot of TIME, i've decided to strengthen the bonds i've made with the youths in camp by keeping in touch with them and to make sure that their spiritual walk and my spiritual walk with God continues to grow more and more.
I'm not sure what the devil has in store for me in 2007, but i'll trust the Lord and allow His will to work through me. I think i'm gonna study The Word more too to sharpen my sword. I'm glad im teaching youth 1 class next year, that way i'll study the Word more and build more bonds. hehe, kill 2 birds in 1 stone.
Life is trully beautiful, like what they say, if you learn to love, you'll see that the world is a better place to live in :) Treasure what you have and count your blessings. Remember that you are special; unique cause God made you in His image and He loves you more than you love anybody else. Lets continue to walk with Him and finish this race together :)
